Coolwebs and OEST are pleased to announce that the SPEAK App has finally been released (Version 1.0) to Apple App Store and Google Play by the Queensland Department of Education Training & Employment. This has bee a major project initiated in November last year and has involved many other parties/organisations including the Queensland South East Regional Office of Education QLD, QLD Health and Redland City Council to help develop children’s speaking and listening ability.
Speaking Promotes Education And Knowledge
Research supports the importance of oral language, not only as the foundation for the development of literacy skills but also a strong indicator of later reading, writing and overall academic achievement.
Quite a number of dignataries were present including the mayor of Redland city council and the honourable QLD Education Minister MP John-Paul Langbroek were present to formally release the app.
